It's a TRAIN!

After our tour at the fire station, we ate lunch at Crispers downtown. There is a train track right outside the restaurant, so Jonathan & Emily did some treasure hunting and exploring. All of a sudden, we saw the train lights and heard the whistle! Matthew totally freaked out because he looooooves trains...And, would you believe the train stopped just a few feet from where we were standing! The engineers even waved to us :o) It was very very exciting!

Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine

The kids worked extra hard today, preparing presents for Ed's birthday...Although it's not until November. They scrounged their bedrooms for "gifts" and then wrapped everything in paper, ribbons and gift bags. What a hoot! We finally used the Snoopy Sno-Cone machine I bought probably 4 years ago at Big Lots - The kids loved it! And, Ed & I loved the memories of when we were little. Poor Ed, he didn't get the Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine. Poor, poor, Ed.

Park Day & Lunch with Papi

Yesterday we went to a park in Bartow and then met Ed for lunch - The park was awesome, but it was soooo HUMID! I hate Florida weather! After lunch, we visited Ed's co-workers...Matthew was long overdue for a nap, so he echoed throughout the building and pierced the sound barriers of each cubicle. As you can see in the first two pictures, he's a little imp! Ha! Ha!

School is out!!

HOORAY! I am so excited that school is out for the summer! I was so burnt out with getting up every morning at 7am to drive Jonathan to school by 8:15...And Emily on Mon-Wed-Fri. On the days Emily didn't have school, this meant I had to drag both her and Matthew into the car...Sound asleep. Then, I had to turn around and drive back to school at 3:00 for pick up. Usually, Matthew was still napping.

This is the first summer Jonathan & Emily will not be at summer camp!! I will have all three at home with crazy ol' me! We do have Vacation Bible School next week from 9-12 and Jonathan has basketball camp for a week in July, but no other camps..Just CAMP MOMMY. I'm planning a lot of activities with my Moms Group, pool, Cypress Gardens water park, arts & crafts and the children's museum. I just pray we don't suffer from too much heat! It's already 100 degrees here!! I HATE IT!!!!!!!

All three found fun in playing dress up today. I'm okay with Jonathan & Emily's choice of attire, but a little worried about Matthew. Ha! Ha!

Mother's Day at Cypress Gardens

This was by far one of the best Mother's Days I've had! We went to Cypress Gardens and had soooooo much fun! The kids were fantastic, which of course makes or breaks amusement parks (along with Mom's mood) and there were no crowds or rain while at the water park! Matthew absolutely LOVED the rides and water...Ed did too! HA! HA!

A turtle in our yard!

If it's not snakes or stray dogs, it's turtles. Why do they end up in OUR yard?!? This is what we came home to after my Mother's Day brunch with Emily. After hosing him down, Ed & Emily released him at a nearby lake. You can see in the 2nd picture below that the turtle is sad (He's frowning!), but when Ed released him (last picture), he seriously looks like he's SMILING!

Emily = Mother's Day Brunch

Today was our Mother's Day brunch for the Pre-K 4 classes! Emily was soooooooo proud to have a special lunch date just with Mommy. All the Moms wore hats and dined on BBQ sandwiches, salad and cupcakes! Ed even helped serve the food :o)
