This is our first Thanksgiving at home by ourselves! In the past, we've either gone to my Mom & Dad's in Cape Coral or to Georgia! Ed was quite the CHEF today and prepared an awesome turkey with all the fixings. We ate around 1:00pm because he was so on the ball cooking! Ha! Even though we were still in our pajamas, we set the table and even used our wedding china and drank from fancy glasses! Ed & I have been married for almost 9 years and have never used our china! The kids LOVED it! We all toasted and said what we were thankful for. Then, Jonathan took a bite of his corn on the cob and burst into tears...His loose tooth became even looser and he was adament that he DID NOT want to lose his tooth today :o)
We also decorated the Christmas tree and ooohed and aaahed over ornaments the kids made from years past. Jonathan held one up from last year and says, "Here's one from 2006! That was a long time ago!" They're like little adults being all giddy and excited about ornaments - "Be careful" says Emily, "These are very old and expensive!" During all the tree trimming, Matthew played in his "jail" with his trucks. Hopefully, he won't notice the tree! Ha! Ha!
