My Mom is the best! She is my right hand woman...My double! She knows what I'm thinking and says things that I'm about to say (and vice versa). She knows me, she knows my moods and she knows what to do to make me smile. I like a neat house...I like to go to bed at night with the couch pillows fluffed and the TV armoire doors shut. With three children, I've become more relaxed in that area of life and tend to look past the splotches of spaghetti sauce on the stove and finger print filled windows. Still, I secretly adore clean, neat, tidy homes!
My parents come to visit at least twice a month and Mom always gets right down to business with our house :o) She has this magical touch that makes everything look shiny and perfect. She does all the laundry - She cleans up the kid's rooms - She loves matching socks - She makes homemade French Toast that is my all time favorite - She organizes drawers and closets - Maggie has a clean supply of water - Dishes are promptly put away in the dishwasher. Everything seems so orderly when Mom is here! Even the way she piles up her pillows, pulls down the blankets and sets up the nightstand with her bedtime "stuff" - It's all so cozy!
Mom & Dad were here this past weekend and once again, Mom's magical touch took over the house. The towels look neater hanging from the towel bar and the bed sheets smell fresher. I'm even making my bed the same way Mom does. And, I'm actually putting laundry away instead of leaving it on the couch for 2 days. My home feels so fresh and tidy..And so do I. Thanks Mom!
