Summer is over? School has started?
Holy crap! The summer is already over and school has started! In my last post, my goal was to update my blog more often...Made some statement that I'd have more time to do so during the summer. HA! What I was I drinking? Overall, we had a great summer...Towards the end though, I was so ready for everyone to go back to school. I had NO nerves left and I was headed for the mental ward. Off the top of my mushy, squishy brain, here are some of the things we did: Basketball camp, Vacation Bible School, playdates with my Moms group, way too much fast food for lunch, weekend in Merritt Island, long weekened at Liki Tiki Village, weekend at Grammie & Pop Pops's (followed by 3 full days of the kids staying on at Grammie & Pop Pop's...I had THREE whole days ALONE with NO KIDS = Pure Heaven), Ed's 20th high school reunion, lots of swimming in our Intex above ground blue pool, a visit from Lito, lots of visits from Grammie & Pop Pop, Matthew's 3rd birthday, successful completion of ISR swim lessons for Matthew (He's now a FISH in the water), late nights and sleeping in until 10:00 (and even 11:00 on some days). All three kids grew several inches taller, Matthew finally grasped peeing and pooping in the potty 2 weeks before school started and he also started sleeping in his big boy bed. No more crib or high chair :o)
Jonathan started 3rd grade this year, Emily 1st and Matthew will go 3 days a week to pre-k. We are at the end of week 2 and so far, so good! Everyone transitioned pretty well from sleeping late to waking up at 7:00am....Y-A-W-N! That's just too darn early!

Lots to catch up on! It's been 2 months!
Ed & I celebrated our 10 year anniversary on March 20th. I was planning on being skinny, trim and sexy for our big celebration and dreamed that we'd go on a romantic excursion to some couples only island, but obviously that did not happen. Spring Break was the week of March 30th, so instead we took a trip Washington, DC with Emily and Jonathan. Grammie & Pop Pop watched Matthew :o) We left on Friday, March 27th and came back on Thursday, April 2nd. What a FUN FUN FUN week we had! We covered a lot of ground, walked for miles on end, visited my cousin Bonnie and Ed's good friend, Angel...We went to museums, rode a double decker tour bus and became pros at riding the metro. Jonathan is a mini Ed when it comes to learning and history - He LOVES to learn and will ask question after question about anything and everything.

Matthew did pee-pee on the potty!
How exciting!!
Matthew's first REAL sentence is.......
He makes a fluffy noise with his mouth
Matthew: "Mom-meeeeeee!"
Me: "What buddy?"
Matthew: "You fluffied"
Roars of laughter follows.
That's our boy!
Riding in the car with Matthew was once peaceful and quiet. No more!
Where's da truck Mommy? Wow! A BIG truck? See it! Dere it is! Out ya window! Where'd it go? Dere is goes! Big truck, Mommy! Where's da cycle? Dere it is. There! Hi truck!"
Yesterday, he babbled for 2 hours straight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Family Day with our PALS
On Saturday, we joined our PALS (Mommy group) for a family day cookout! It was soooo much fun! We brought along the bouncy house, which you can see was a hit. Matthew was Mr. Independent, going from one end of the yard to the other and then inside the house...He has no fear of people and loves to be a social butterfly! Jonathan was the ring leader for the smaller kids - He even got them all to lay down in the grass! HA! HA!

Emily's Gingerbread Design
One of Emily's homework assignments was to decorate a gingerbread person any way she wanted to! How stinkin' cute did it turn out!?! I had a stained dress in the garage sale pile that she cut up for the dress and hairbow. This one will make it to the fridge!
